Celebrating a Successful Women’s Health and Fitness 5K Walk!

Saturday, September 28th, marked a monumental day for GLOW-God Leading Our Wellness and Celebration Church Athletics as we hosted our First Annual National Women’s Health and Fitness Day 5K Walk in Jacksonville, FL.

We are overjoyed by the incredible turnout and deeply moved by the support we received, all for a cause so close to our hearts – benefiting the "City Rescue Mission Life Builders Program" and their women’s residential recovery division.

Even though the weather wasn’t in our favor – with misting rain throughout the event – we were absolutely thrilled to see over 200 amazing people show up to walk alongside us. Their dedication to walking in support of women's health and recovery was truly inspiring. Watching participants cross the finish line filled us with pride and gratitude, reminding us that when we come together for a cause, not even a little rain can slow us down, AMEN 🙏

We had all the elements of a professional 5K – from race bibs, t-shirts, and medals – and despite being our first year hosting a full-scale event, it was a huge success! We are already excited for next year, where we plan to make it even bigger and better, bringing more awareness to the critical importance of women’s health and the need to care for ourselves both physically and spiritually.
